Weingut Arnold
Family - 330 Year Old Wine Roots
Our wine making estate first appeared in the history books in 1673. Thru more than 10 generations our estate, the vineyards and a winemaker’s knowledge has woven us into a family of winegrowers. Today Bruno and Diana Arnold carry on the work with the assistance of their children Simon, Florian and Nina, and with the support of grandparents Klaus and Anni.
Our name comes from our grandfather, Wilhelm, who, early in his life envisioned and then formed an alliance with other regional winemaking estates, namely the, “Franconian Estates and Direct Sellers Association”. Today this association has matured into the “Association of German Premium Estates, (VDP) which unites 200 of the best winemaking estates from all of Germany’s winegrowing regions.
Bruno Arnold received the technical training and degree of an enologist. However, even as a young boy he was fascinated with the old ways in which a vintner cared for the wine. He closely witnessed how a vintner develops and guides the wine to completion. Thanks to these early experiences, his thirst for knowledge and his drive to achieve quality lead him, even as a trainee, to win professional national level winemaking competitions.
